Visiting this website
When you visit this website, the server automatically records technical information such as your IP address, the date and time, the page requested and your browser type. This is needed to deliver the website and keep it secure (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). These logs are kept by our web hosting provider, who processes them on our behalf, and are deleted after a short period.
Fonts are served from this website itself, so no data is sent to font providers. Website statistics are only used if you agree – see “Cookies and your consent” below.
Cookies and your consent
When you first visit this website, a banner asks whether you agree to website statistics (Google Analytics). Nothing in this category is loaded until you choose “Accept” or switch it on under “Preferences”. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.
Your choice itself is stored in small cookies in your browser (their names begin with cmplz_) for one year, so that the banner does not appear on every page. These cookies are needed for the website to respect your choice (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; § 165(3) TKG 2021). The banner runs on this website itself and sends no data to its maker. All cookies are listed in the Cookie Policy.
Website statistics (Google Analytics)
If you agree to statistics, this website uses Google Analytics 4, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. It shows us how the website is used – for example which pages are read, how visitors find the website and roughly which country they are in – so that we can improve it. Google Analytics sets cookies (_ga and _ga_JN4PLSMQ4F, kept for up to two years) and receives information about your visit and your device. Your IP address is used only to work out your approximate location and is not stored. Google processes this data on our behalf; data may be transferred to the USA, and Google is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Data about your visits is kept for 2 months; after that only overall figures remain. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; § 165(3) TKG 2021), which you can withdraw at any time under “Cookie settings”. See Google’s privacy policy.
Enquiry form
When you send an enquiry, we receive the details you enter – such as your name, email address, phone number if given and your message, which may include information about your child. They are sent to us by email and are not stored on this website. We use them only to answer your enquiry and, if you wish, to arrange sessions (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Enquiries that do not lead to sessions are deleted when they are no longer needed.
To protect the form against spam, it uses Google reCAPTCHA, a service of Google Ireland Limited. reCAPTCHA checks whether the form is being filled in by a person; for this, Google receives your IP address and information about your browser and how you use the page, and may set cookies. Data may be transferred to the USA. This is based on our legitimate interest in protecting the form against misuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). See Google’s privacy policy.
Booking sessions
Sessions can be booked online on this website or on our separate SimplyBook.me booking page. Our booking form is connected to SimplyBook.me, which manages our appointment calendars: when you book, your name, email address, phone number, any comment you add and the times you choose are transmitted to SimplyBook.me, which also sends your confirmation and reminder emails. This is necessary to carry out your booking (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). No names, email addresses or phone numbers are stored on this website when you book; to protect the form against misuse, the number of booking attempts from one connection is counted for one hour using an anonymised (hashed) form of the IP address. See the SimplyBook.me privacy policy.
Clients, children and health information
For the families we work with, we keep contact details, appointment dates and invoices needed to provide sessions and bill them (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Invoices and accounting records are kept for seven years, as required by Austrian tax law (§ 132 BAO).
In the course of our work, parents and carers tell us about their child’s health and development, for example a diagnosis, a medical condition or reports from doctors and therapists, so that we can adapt our work to the child. We treat this information as strictly confidential, use it only for our work with your child and keep it only with your consent (Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR), which you give as the child’s parent or legal guardian. You can withdraw this consent at any time. We never publish photos, videos or stories of a child without the explicit, separate permission of the parents.
Links to other websites
This website links to other websites, for example to our booking page and to the websites of training institutes and authors. No data is passed to them until you click such a link; after that, the privacy policy of the other website applies.
Your rights
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you and your child, and to have it corrected, deleted or restricted. You can ask to receive your data in a portable format and object to processing based on legitimate interest. Where processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time; this does not affect processing that took place before.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at enquiry@feldenkraisforkids.com. If you believe your data is being processed unlawfully, you can complain to the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde), Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, www.dsb.gv.at.
Changes
We may update this policy when the website or our work changes. The version published here applies.
